Take any two languages and you can always find some some feature which is easy in one language and a pain in the other.įrench spelling is a pain compared to Spanish spelling. Have you always wanted to learn another language and been put off by all the convoluted complications - all the rote-learning of stuff you have to master before you can begin to hold a conversation. If I were trying to explain what Esperanto was all about and to get people interested, I wouldn't start from the history, or from the idea of it being a neutral interlingvo. I'd just put up a link with a title like "Where did Esperanto come from?" or something that gives the reader a little Esperanto history.īut are there any language mistakes I should correct?I didn't notice anything that jumped out at me. Perhaps including the fact that Esperanto has a word for "cool." They use it to argue politics, make love, play chess, discuss science, make friends - in short, to do all the things people do with language every day.And then maybe go from there with some more examples of why Esperanto is cool. Now if I were doing this (and someday I just might) rather than going into the history of Esperanto, I would start making statements that would pique a reader's interest. ![]()
